Some landlords are helping Kathleen Wynne Appointed Ombudsman To Make Ford PC's Look Bad

#1 Unread post by WealthyLL » January 14th, 2020, 7:59 pm

The current Ombudsman was appointed by the Kathleen Wynne Liberals. Of course they love getting any chance to slam the PCs.

Wynne must be laughing her butt off!

For years the Liberals were toying with landlords. Delayed hearings, price increases for the LTB, capping rent increases, screwing with the N4 and N5 Forms to make it super easy for renters to break a lease. Where were these landlords then? I know we here were constantly contacting our MPPs.

So now we have some big changes coming to the RTA and the veteran landlords here have been having meetings with our MPPs (including Cabinet Ministers). Calm, rational discussions.

And now come the left wing CBC using landlord concerns to the Ombudsman to make the PCs look bad...while not reporting the Ombudsman did NOTHING when we made complaints for years when the Liberals were in power.

It's no wonder so many MPPs are reluctant to make the changes really needed to fix things.

Criticize Ford and the PCs, but can you imagine how bad things would be if the Liberals or NDP were in power now?!

And get ready for not being able to raise rents BETWEEN TENANCIES (except by the provincial guideline) if the Liberals or NDP win the next election (which they probably will).

Great work
